Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC 5-axis Mills to produce complex precision components.
- Advanced Hypermill Programming
- Analyse blueprints, strong GD&T skills interpreting engineering drawings, and engineering information to determine the best machining processes.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise the machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on the machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of the finished product and make necessary adjustments to the machines and processes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, job setups, and quality control data.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the working area.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mathematics: A*-B
- Advanced Hypermill programming skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up, programming, and operating advanced 5-axis Mills.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of machining processes, and programming languages.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to machining and manufacturing processes .
Working Conditions:
- This role primarily involves working within a shop floor environment
- Regular interaction with machinery and equipment, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
- May involve occasional lifting of heavy objects .
