Copsey Engineering is a precision engineering company based in Witham Essex specialising in machining complex parts for aerospace, motorsport, and advanced technologies sectors.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC 5-axis Mills to produce complex precision components.
  • Advanced Hypermill Programming
  • Analyse blueprints, strong GD&T skills interpreting engineering drawings, and engineering information to determine the best machining processes.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise the machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on the machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor the quality and accuracy of the finished product and make necessary adjustments to the machines and processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, job setups, and quality control data.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the working area.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Mathematics: A*-B
  • Advanced Hypermill programming skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up, programming, and operating advanced 5-axis Mills.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of machining processes, and programming languages.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to machining and manufacturing processes .

Working Conditions:
  • This role primarily involves working within a shop floor environment
  • Regular interaction with machinery and equipment, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
  • May involve occasional lifting of heavy objects .
